A Bichon-Poodle will usually have a curly to wavy coat. They are usually a single color with white, tan, black and brown being the most common colors. You may also find Bichon-Poodles that are black, gray or a ginger color. With minimal shedding, these dogs are a good option for allergy sufferers. With that said, their grooming is high maintenance. As it regards personality, these dogs tend to be affectionate and friendly. They can adapt well to different types of living situations and they are also good-natured and easy to train.
Origin of the Bichon-Poodle
The Bichon-Poodle is a mix between the Bichon Frise and Toy
or Miniature Poodles. The first intentional breeding of this hybrid occurred in
Australia in the 1990s and they have since become popular in the US and UK as
well. The intention of this pairing is to create an adorable lapdog that does
well with families.
