The Boston Terrier is recognizable for its tuxedo-like coat. With a Boston Terrier Mix, the dog may or may not have this style coat, but it is common for these mixes to at least have black and white coats like the parent breed. Boston Terriers are also known for being friendly and good with people. While you can expect a designer breed that is part Boston Terrier to have some of the traits of this parent breed, the exact personality and look will vary depending on the other parent breed. Popular Boston Terrier mixes include the Boston Bulldog, Bostchon, Bojack, Boston Spaniel and the Bugg. With that said, there are several hybrids that are part Boston Terrier.
Origin of the Boston Terrier Mix
Boston Terriers were first bred in 19th Century North America. They were initially bred as fighting dogs, but their gentle nature has led to them being popular companion dogs. Boston Terrier mixes are popular and you can expect these dogs to have at least some of the traits of the Boston Terrier parent breed.
Is a Boston Terrier Mix right for me?
If a Boston Terrier Mix is your choice of dog, you can expect a dog that has some of the pleasing qualities of the Boston Terrier. It will likely be a friendly dog that loves spending time with people, but you can find significant variation with so many potential hybrids.
