About Coton Poodles
The Coton Poodle gains a lot of its positive traits from its impressive parentage. They are extremely attentive dogs that can be easily trained, due in large part to their urge to please their masters. Their vigilance and energy mean that they are able to be successful in varied duties, including being an all-star watchdog.
The Poo-Ton does not shed excessively, but will still need regular grooming several times a week. A pin brush can remove and prevent mats. Since there are a variety of coats that they can inherit, you may also find it necessary to trim the hair from the eyes and ears.
Origin of the Coton Poodle
The Coton Poodle, or Poo-Ton is a mixed breed that can only result from a Coton de Tulear and a miniature or toy Poodle. While the motive for breeding is unknown, the parentage of the Coton and the Poodle lends the breed to success at size-appropriate sight hunting or watchdog duties.
