Goldendoodle breeders have captured the best traits from both Poodles and Golden Retrievers. These dogs are affectionate, playful, great for children and the elderly. They are great for apartments or larger homes. There is truly little one could say about the Goldendoodle that would be negative.
The Goldendoodle is sometimes considered Hypoallergenic depending on if its coat takes more after the poodle side of the family. The tighter curly hair does not shed and produces less dander which is the primary allergen for dog allergies.
This breed is energetic, and they love to play and exercise. They will thrive on playing fetch at the park or going for walks with their family. They are also perfectly happy to lounge with their people after a hard day at work.
Origin of the Goldendoodle
The Goldendoodle is a crossbreed derived from a poodle and a Golden Retriever and were derived sometime in early 1970s. They started to gain popularity in the 1990s in an attempt to drive hybrid vigor and also develop a dog that was had the favorable traits of both parents.
