The Yorkie-Pom are usually as tiny but bold and confident as their parents. These small furry pooches are as adorable as they look. They have a playful and affectionate nature that is perfect for single owners or families. They are smart and fun-loving, they learn quickly when trained at an early age. Yorkie-Poms may not look the same all the time but most of them have small bodies, short snouts and perky ears. They can come in solid colors of black, tan, gold, and cream, or a combination of two or three colors. They may be hypoallergenic if they inherit the coat of their Yorkie parent.
Origin of the Yorkie-Pom
The Yorkie-Pom , also called the Porkie and Yoranian, is the result of crossbreeding the purebred Pomeranian and the purebred Yorkshire Terrier. The breed has been around since the 1990s and has been a well-loved hybrid since then. Pomeranians and Yorkshire Terriers are among the most popular toy breeds around the world. They were both developed from Europe centuries ago — Pomeranians from Pomeranian and Yorkies from counties of Yorkshire and Lancahire.
